By downloading or using PageForth, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use PageForth.

What PageForth is

PageForth is a macOS news reader that fetches articles from web pages you add as sources, summarizes them on your Mac using Apple's on-device Foundation Models, and ranks them in a personalized feed. PageForth is not made by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Apple.

License

PageForth is licensed, not sold. While your subscription is active you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your own Apple devices. You may not redistribute, resell, reverse-engineer, or modify PageForth.

Subscription and payment

PageForth costs $29.99/year, billed through the Mac App Store. A 7-day free trial is available. You can cancel anytime through your Apple ID subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies.

Source websites

PageForth fetches and displays content from third-party websites that you choose to add as sources. You are responsible for making sure your use of any source site is consistent with that site's terms of service. We don't host, mirror, or claim ownership of any content fetched from third parties.

Sponsor and ad preservation

PageForth attempts to preserve sponsor slots and ads that appear on source pages so that the original sites continue to receive impressions and click revenue. Ad network behavior is outside our control. We don't guarantee that any particular ad will render, fire impression beacons, or pass click-through.

What we're responsible for

We'll do our best to keep PageForth working well and to fix bugs. However, PageForth is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee that:

• PageForth will work with every website you point it at
• On-device summaries will be accurate, complete, or appropriate
• The For You ranking will surface the articles you most want to read
• PageForth will be compatible with future macOS releases

What we're not responsible for

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of PageForth. This includes but is not limited to:

• Decisions you make based on a summary or a ranked article
• The content, accuracy, or availability of any third-party source website
• Disputes between you and any source site over how their content is displayed
• Network or bandwidth costs from fetching source pages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for PageForth in the 12 months before the claim.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use PageForth to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Scrape websites in violation of their terms of service
• Republish, redistribute, or commercially repackage content fetched from third-party sites
• Strip or otherwise circumvent advertising on sites where doing so violates the site's terms

Termination

You can stop using PageForth at any time by uninstalling the app and canceling your subscription. We reserve the right to revoke your license if you violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of PageForth after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
